Kale, avocado and banana smoothie (GF and DF)

This smoothie was one of the first recipes I made and shared on my Instagram account. It really was the starting point for my healing journey and my search to find foods that improve the way I feel.

If you’re just starting out in your journey, I’d recommend finding simple recipes that you can make even when you’re not feeling the best. It’s all about finding what works for you and being consistent.

Smoothies are a great starting point because they are easy to make and you can fill them with nutritious ingredients that you love.

Kale, avocado and banana smoothie

Ingredients

Handful of kale

Half a frozen banana

½ avocado

1 teaspoon of honey

½ cup coconut milk (I used to use almond but either is fine)

Method

  1. Blend milk and kale until smooth.

  2. Add banana, avocado and honey and blend again.

  3. Enjoy!!
