Classic salad sandwich (GF and DF)

The classic fresh salad sandwich is so underrated! Especially if it’s made with fresh bread, meat and salad ingredients. This simple yet satisfying recipe will inspire you to add the salad sandwich into your regular lunch rotation. For this recipe I used ham and salad but you can mix it up with your favourites.

Ingredients

2 slices of gluten free bread (I used Deeks pumpkin and pepita bread)

2 slices fresh ham

3 slices fresh beetroot

1 tablespoons shredded carrot

3 slices of cucumber

Fresh rocket

1 tablespoon hummus

Method

  1. Construct your sandwich starting with spreading the hummus on one slice of bread followed by the ham, beetroot, carrot, cucumber and rocket.

  2. Enjoy!
